Anna Vinnitskaya is the laureate of the “Leonard Bernstein Award” 2008 of the Schlewig-Holstein Music Festival and the winner of the Queen-Elisabeth-Competition” 2007. That was highlight and completion of a series of successes at international music competitions: She has won the 44th Premio Jaén de Piano (Spain 2002) and the 7th International Piano Competition Mauro Paolo Monopoli in Barletta (Italy 2004). In addition she is laureate of the 55th Busoni – Competition in Bolzano (Italy 2005).

Anna Vinnitskaya was born on the 4th of August in 1983 into a family of musicians in Novorossijsk (Russia). She began her piano lessons at the age of 6. In 1995 her family moved to Rostov-on-Don, where she studied with Sergej Ossipenko at the Sergej-Rachmaninov-Conservatoire. Since October 2001 she studyed at the Academy for Music and Theatre Hamburg (“Hochschule für Mueik und Theater HfMT”), formerly with Ralf Nattkemper and since October 2002 with Evgeni Koroliov.

Since October 2009 Anna Vinnitskaya has been teaching at the HfMT Hamburg.

Anna Vinnitskaya’s debut CD, a programme of works by Rachmaninoff, Gubaidulina, Medtner and Prokofiev, was released on Naïve in April 2009. The recording was awarded the ‘Diapason d’Or Découverte’ and a ‘Choc du Mois’ in the magazine Classica. It was also chosen as ‘CD des Doppelmonats’ in the magazine Piano News and nominated for a Midem Classical Award in the Solo Instrumental category.
