At the end of the concert season 2018/19, Anna Vinnitskaya celebrated her debut with the Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden. The daily Sächsische Zeitung wrote:
„At the Russian Night of the Staatskapelle, the pianist Anna Vinnitskaya is the outstanding phenomenon. (…) Prokofiev’s bold Piano Concerto No. 2 was the concert’s highlight, with the soloist Anna Vinnitskaya who, congenially accompanied by the Kapelle, was the hero of the night. The 35-year-old Russian, who also is an excellent interpreter of Bach and Brahms, has been setting new standards for years. In the extremely difficult early Prokofiev she skillfully combined percussive harshness with melodical brilliance, masterful sense of sound with snappy attacks.
Even in the sharpest switchbacks of this break-neck key parcours, she seemed to be standing below a tree, plucking apples. She acted concentrated and still celebrated, slightly smiling, that natural joy of playing that one cannot learn. (…) Anna Vinnitskaya: a huge experience.
Anna Vinnitskaya has released her new album on Alpha Classics (Outhere Music), together with her pianist colleagues Evgeni Koroliov, Ljupka Hadzi Georgieva and the Kammerakademie Potsdam. The album comprises JS Bach’s piano concertos for 1, 2 and 3 pianos.
The album has been Classic FM's "Album of the Week". The German radio station MDR Kultur commends: "What makes it really special is this meditative magic that all ten concertos exude. That is nothing less than masterful."
Anna Vinnitskaya will be "artist in residence" at the Dresdner Philharmonie in the coming season.
She will present four projects: Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 2 under the baton of Marek Janowski (7/8 Dec 2019), a recital featuring works by Brahms, Bartók, Schumann and Chopin (9 Feb 2020), a "Bach Marathon" with Evgeni Koroliov, Ljupka Hadzigeorgieva and the Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra (1 Apr 2020), followed by Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 3, conducted by Andrey Boreyko (26/27 Jun 2020).
